Scenic Flights - Rawnsley Park Station
You’ll find Chinta Air at Rawnsley Park Station – located on the South side of Ikara / Wilpena Pound, and 430 kilometres north of Adelaide along sealed roads. The nearest service town is Hawker, approximately 30 kilometres south. A working sheep station, Rawnsley Park Station offers accommodation ranging from basic cabins to award-winning eco villas, all within landscapes that has inspired painters and poets for generations. .
A scenic flight over Ikara / Wilpena Pound, and the Flinders Ranges, from Rawnsley Park Station can be extended to include Kati Thanda / Lake Eyre, or to the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary.

Before lunch, fly to the Northern tip of the Lake for views of birdlife, and water flowing in from the Warburton. Extra – $170 per person.
After lunch, fly over the Painted Hills on Anna Creek Station (the Hills are not accessible by road). Extra – $230 per person.

Meet at the Rawnsley Park Station airstrip at 10am for a 10.30am departure.
Depart Rawnsley Park Station, and fly over Wilpena Pound to:
Bunyeroo, Brachina, Parachilna Gorge.
Leigh Creek (township and coalfields)
before tracking over Lake Torrens / Ngarndamukanha – the second largest salt lake in Australia (after Kati Thanda / Lake Eyre) to the opal mining town of Andamooka, then return over Lake Torrens / Ngarndamukanha for lunch at the Prairie Hotel.
Includes: lunch at the Prairie Hotel from menu, with a choice of tea / coffee, water / juice / soft drinks.
After lunch, re-board the aircraft to fly over Wilpena Pound, to return to Rawnsley Park Station at approximately 3pm..
